Jimmy Waddington was a happy go lucky man, who loved his family so much. He left behind a loving wife, Sheila. A daughter, Jean and her partner Lawrence. And 3 sons Paul and his partner Kelly. David and his wife Lyndsay. Derek and his partner Lynne. He Also left a granddaughter, Kirby Jane. A grandson, Craig, and a beautiful granddaughter he never got to meet, Lydia Rose. and a great grandson Bradley
He also left behind his heartbroken friend Peter Smith and his wife Mary.
Jimmy had an allotment which was his pride and joy. He spent most of his days there, and would often give most of his produce away to other people. You would often see Jimmy peddling along on his bike which most of the time was loaded up with bags full of fruit and veg, bits of wood for his allotment, or various bits and pieces he'd pick up on his travels. You wouldn't believe the amount of things he could get on that bike.
Jimmy loved his nights out on a weekend in The Richies social club and the Catholic club on a sunday afternoon.
He was a very well liked man, who had the time of day for anyone.
Jimmy is sadly missed by all who knew him, so i've created this page as a tribute to a true gentleman.... Jimmy Waddington

Missing you

Well Jimmy. It's nearly the start of the new year, and i have to say missing you doesnt seem to be getting any easier.
I've been thinking about you loads lately, but haven't been able to drop you a line as we've had a nightmare getting the internet sorted. It was supposed to be sorted on the 4th December, but BT messed us about giving us different dates. It finally came on today... YAY.
I'm sorry i didn't get chance to wish you a Merry Christmas, but i'm sure you know i was thinking about you. At least i can wish you a Happy New Year now.
This was our first christmas without you and i have to admit i found it so hard while christmas shopping. Like when i picked up a pair of thermals and was on my way to the till before realising you wern't here. I could almost picture you sticking them on the coffee table unopened with your other bits and pieces, You always knew what we'd got you. You were the hardest person to buy for at christmas, so thermals were always a safe option coz we knew they'd keep you warm while you were up the allotment once the cold weather kicked in.
Mind, you'd have struggled a bit this year on your bike Jimmy coz of the snow. It's been the worst i've known it to be in years. It was hard work for people with cars to get about, so god knows what a nightmare it must have been for anyone on a bike. One thing i know for sure, you'd have managed somehow to get up the allotment on yours.
Anyway i feel a bit happier now that i've been able to drop you a line, so i'm gonna try and get some sleep now. Happy New Year Jimmy. Love and miss you loads.

Happy Birthday Dad

Happy Birthday Dad (Jimmy)

Our hearts are filled with sadness,
Because we cannot say,
To a very wonderful Dad,
Many Happy returns of the day,
Although there are no cards to send,
No birthday gifts to give,
You have all the love within our hearts,
As long as we shall live.

Love Alays

Rest In Peace.

I'm writing this from heaven where I dwell with God above. Where there's no more tears or sadness, there's just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy, just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I'm with you, every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you, when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and he said "I welcome you. Its good to have you back again. You were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on."

Then God gave me a list of things He wished for me to do. And foremost on that list of mine, is to watch and care for you. And I will be beside you every day and week and year. And when you're sad, I'm standing there to wipe away the fear. And when you lie in bed at night the days' chores put to flight, God and I are closest to you in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, because you're only human, it's bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain. Remember, there would be no flowers unless there was some rain.

It's always God's philosophy and I'd like it for you too, that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you. If you can help someone who is in sorrow or in pain, then you can say to God at night, My day was not in vain. And now I am content that my life was worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way, I made someone smile. So if you meet someone who is down and feeling low, just lend a hand to pick him up as on your way you go. When you are walking down the street and you've got me on your mind, I'm walking in your footsteps only a half a step behind. And when you feel that gentle breeze or the wind upon your face, that's me giving you a great big hug or just a soft embrace. And when it's time for you to go from that body to be free, remember you're not going, you're coming here to me. And I will always love you from that land way up above. We'll be in touch again soon. P.S. God sends His love.

A special Father and Father-in-Law

No amount of tears will bring you back,
My heart will never mend,
For the day you had to leave us,
I lost my dad, my life, my friend.
They say that there's a God above,
I hope that this is true,
And pray that when my time is up,
He'll lead me straight to you.
So long dad.
I miss you so much, your ever-loving son Derek
We lost a true gent when we lost you, Jimmy.
I'll never forget you.
Sadly missed by Lynne.
